Something a little bit different

Last night I finished Outliers, by Malcolm Gladwell.  This book is an examination of success, past and present.  It attempts to discover if success is due strictly to talent or intelligence, or are there other factors as well.  I found it to be an interesting premise, and it did really make me think.  I’m not entirely convinced that the sample sizes used to support Mr. Gladwell’s thesis are actually large enough, but the basic reasoning seemed sound.  Well written, entertaining, and something a little off my beaten track-this book turned out to be worth the time.  Sometimes it is a good thing to exercise the brain matter.

I’ve also read blink by the same author, which suggests that I might just be interested in what he has to say.  Hmmm….
