Templars, religion and lies, oh my!

I love the sale rack at Powell’s.  I even found a $1 bookshelves that might have yielded a few treasures.  They might be crap too, but what’s the risk?  They were only a buck!  Off a different rack came The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury.   I’m sorry Mr. Khoury, but I couldn’t help being reminded of The Da Vinci Code.  Different story, but similar feel.  I found the ending a bit weak in my opinion, but on the whole the book was a cracking good read.  Fast paced, interesting, and with those short chapters that tempt you into “just one more” and then suddenly you find its midnight and you have to get up at 6:30.  I understand Mr. Khoury is a screenwriter and I found myself seeing the story, which is a testament to his skill.  Totally escapist, and entertaining.  I don’t think I’d read it again, but it is worthy of being shared.
